Small superpowers for your Mac, each on a key you choose.

Move windows with one key, rewind your screen, translate a selection, pause the music from anywhere, find what you copied an hour ago. Switch on what you need and pick its key yourself.

Beta 1.5.6-beta.1 · runs until 1 December 2026 · macOS 13 or later · Apple silicon or Intel

The interface

teespoons stays in the background until you need it.

Press Control Option Command 0 to see every spoon with its settings and switch. Change what you want and get back to work.

Dark, light, or the same as your Mac.

The teespoons window in dark mode, on the Spoons page. On the left a sidebar with Spoons, Keyboard, Activity and Settings. Next to it, spoon cards for Window Switcher, WindowSnap, Date Grabber, Lookup, Translate, MediaControls, Clipboard, FinderArchive, CheatSheet and Display Brightness, each with its icon, switch and shortcut. The same window in light mode, with white spoon cards and a pale sidebar.

Stuff your Mac should already do

You need something you copied an hour ago, and it’s nowhere to be found. Or something was on your screen earlier and now it’s gone. And macOS can sort of arrange windows, if you know where to look.

Little things like that bugged me so often that I built the tools for them myself. And then my friends and lab mates were always bugging me to make an easy to use version…

Everyday use cases

Writing your thesis

  • Paper on the left, draft on the right, with two keys.
  • The quote from this morning is still in your clipboard.
  • The export takes two hours, and your Mac doesn’t go to sleep.

WindowSnap Clipboard Caffeine

Working in another language

  • Select a German message and read the English in a pop-up.
  • Or swap the text for its translation, right where it is.
  • Dictate the paragraph instead of typing it. The recording never leaves your Mac.

Translate WhisperDictate

Between work and time off

  • Pause the music without leaving your work.
  • Jump straight to the Safari window you’re looking for.
  • Home VPN, work VPN or none, with one shortcut.

MediaControls Window Switcher Connectivity

In the lab and at the desk

  • Type today’s date with one key, so your files stay sorted.
  • Illustrator crashed just as you went to save. Rewind your screen three minutes and rescue your graphics.
  • Your lab protocol, formula sheet or coding cheat sheet floats over whatever you’re doing, then goes away.

Date Grabber Timelapse CheatSheet

If your days look different, keep the spoons you need and switch the rest off.

Your keys

40 shortcuts come set up. You can change any of them.

  1. The same three keys for almost everything

Hold Control Option Command and press a key. The second row is on Control Option Command Shift .

  2. Change a key

Open teespoons, click the key next to a shortcut and press the combination you want. Spoons that come without a key wait for you to pick one.

  3. You see clashes right away

While you press the new combination, teespoons tells you if another spoon or macOS already uses it.

What teespoons isn’t

  • Not a launcher. Raycast and Alfred already do that. teespoons works with whatever you have open.
  • Not a scripting tool. You don’t have to code anything. Every spoon has a switch and a key.
  • Not finished. It’s a beta until 1 December 2026. If something breaks, write to me and I’ll fix it.

Try teespoons free for a week or two.

Drag it into Applications and open it. teespoons shows you the rest.
